Christopher Leebrick's Recent News:
One Thousand Professional Shows!In December 2009, Chris marked his one thousandth professional storytelling performance. Since 1986. Chris estimates that he has performed for more than 75,000 children and adults across the United States and in Australia.
Storytelling World Award!
Chris' new CD - Spoooky! Good Stories Volume III is the winner of a 2009 Storytelling World Award. The awards were featured in the 2009 April/May issue of Storytelling magazine. Chris is winning for his performance of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" (a featured story on "Spoooky!"). Storytelling World editors call it: "A chilling rendition of Poe's classic." Summer 2010: Christopher Leebrick will once again be featured as an all-district performer for Mason, Thurston, Lewis, and Gray's Harbor counties in Washington state. He will also perform his new summer show "Stories to Dive For!" at libraries throughout Oregon--including Jackson County, Lane County, Hood River County, Clackamas County, and Tillamook County. It's filling up fast, but Chris still has some room in his summer schedule. Contact Us
Spooky Stories at the Museum:
Chris was the featured storyteller at the kickoff to OMSI's exhibit "Scream!"
The members only event was held on Saturday October 10, 2009 at the
Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Chris performed his spooky
yarns in the planetarium. For more information about the ongoing

Arizona Performances: Chris
recently toured Arizona and presented storytelling performances

Keynote Speaker: Christopher Leebrick was the Keynote Speaker for the Career Fair at the Frenchglen School in Harney County, Oregon. Students K-12 from throughout rural Harney County attended the annual event. In addition to presenting the keynote address, Chris also performed throughout the day.
Return to Arkansas: Chris recently gave an encore performance of his on-man show "An Evening of Storytelling" at John Brown University in NW Arkansas; the show featured a diverse selection of tales including Oregon cowboy stories, personal recollections, and stories such as "The Tell-Tale Heart" from his latest award-winning CD. Chris also presented a master class for JBU students on the art of storytelling and performed at elementary schools in Rogers and Lowell, Arkansas.
New CD: In July '08, Chris released "Spoooky!" Good Stories Volume III; (this is a follow-up to Chris' first two CD's, "Good Stories From All Over" and "Critters, Kids, and Cowboys"). This diverse collection features an electrifying performance of Poe's "Tell-Tale Heart", as well as stories of ghosts, witches, monsters and creepy things that go bump in the night. The CD is recommended for older children, teens, and grownups who still like to get spoooked!
Campfire Tales: Chris recently told stories around campfires at the Oregon coast, high up in the Cascade mountains, in the Willamette Valley, and on Steens Mountain in the eastern Oregon desert. Florida Performance: Chris performed before an enthusiastic crowd of children and adults at the Citrus Ridge Library in Clermont, Florida. "Chris enjoys his work . . . and this radiated to the entire audience.. . ." Kerri Bottorff, Youth Services Librarian. Since then, a brand new library has been built and renamed: Cagan Crossings Community Library. Chris has been invited back for an encore performance and a Florida tour is planned for the near future! International Performances: Christopher was recently featured at the 7th Australian National Storytelling Festival in Perth. At the festival, he presented a solo concert entitled "American Tales" (featuring the premiere of a new personal story entitled "Perfect World"); he also performed in the Ghost Story concert on opening night and presented his popular workshop, "Storytelling, a Theatrical Art". Plus, during his stay, Christopher gave library performances for families in the nearby communities of Kalamunda and Joondalup.
