After a School Assembly Show

School Assemblies:
Chris performs dynamic storytelling assemblies at elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the United States. (He has even been known to get students up on their feet telling stories of their own!)  He also performs at colleges, universities, and private schools.

Student comments from shows @ Sexton Mountain Elementary, Beaverton, OR:
– “Your stories were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  Thank you for coming to our school!”
– “I like how you tell stories.  You put so much effort and excitement into them.”
– “One of my strengths in school is reading, so this assembly was very exciting for me!”
– “It was cool . . . . We hope you never quit!”

Performance in France:
Chris recently enjoyed the rare opportunity to perform at the ancient Roman amphitheater in Orange, France.  The theater is two thousand years old, has near perfect acoustics, and seats over five thousand people. Chris says, “Telling a story at the Theatre Antique d’Orange was fantastic.  It was a dream come true!”

Storytelling World Awards:
All three of Chris’ CD’s have received national Storytelling World Awards.   “Good stories From All Over” and “Critters, Kids, and Cowboys” are great fun for all ages. “Spooky!” (Chris’ most recent CD) is aimed at older kids, teens and adults. Storytelling World editors call Chris’ spooooky performance of The Tell-Tale Heart: “A chilling rendition of Poe’s classic.”  Click on CD Store for more info.

Campfire Tales:
One of the best ways to enjoy the age old art of storytelling is sitting around a cozy campfire. Chris has told stories around campfires at the Oregon coast, high up in the Cascade mountains, in the Willamette Valley, and on Steens Mountain in eastern Oregon.  If you are interested in scheduling “Tales Round the Campfire” contact us.

Poe Show — “The Tell-Tale Heart”:
In recent years  Chris has riveted adults and teens with his performance of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” at storytelling festivals, schools, and libraries throughout Oregon and Washington.   The show also features a lively discussion about Mr. Poe, performances of other eerie stories from around the globe, and often concludes with Poe’s poetic masterpiece “Annabel Lee”.  For more information about the Poe show please contact us.
